CalmPod Sensory was created to offer a quiet, supportive space within busy environments. Born from founder Gianni Oliveti’s personal experience supporting his own son in busy public environments, Oliveti Group’s Sensory Pods are designed to create calm, inclusive spaces.
These versatile units can be tailored for a wide range of uses, from sensory-friendly zones with the addition of sensory therapy equipment for neurodivergent individuals, to baby sensory rooms-changing and nursing areas, or simply as a quiet escape from noisy environments. With Oliveti Group’s in-house manufacturing and bespoke joinery capabilities, each pod can be customised to suit its intended setting whether in airports, schools, shopping centres, or public venues.
Our CalmPods Sensory are dedicated, quiet spaces designed with neurodivergence in mind. Their purpose is to soothe the sensory overload that can occur in crowded, loud, or overstimulating environments.
At Oliveti Group, we have worked closely with multiple occupational therapists to design and develop a calming space that supports a wide range of sensory needs. While no single solution can meet every individual’s needs, CalmPods Sensory are carefully designed to support the majority of neurodivergent individuals.
These dedicated spaces offer a safe place to briefly escape the busy external environment. CalmPods Sensory provide a simple, practical way for people to take short breaks and return feeling more grounded, calm, and focused.
The key feature of the CalmPod Sensory is its high-performing soundproofing, designed to reduce external noise to levels comparable to a quiet bedroom at night. Combined with the pod’s built-in adjustable ventilation and lighting, just the shell of the pod alone, allows for a highly efficient sensory space.
Working closely with occupational therapists, we have carefully selected sensory equipment that would enhance the already calming space, creating an environment that remains simple, yet effective. Each element has been chosen to promote calm, gentle interaction and help redirect focus away from external stress.
While the pod is designed to take the user away from their busy environments, it does not completely isolate the user. The integrated acoustic glass maintains a visual connection to the surrounding space, allowing users to still feel connected to the external surroundings.

Most public and workplace environments are designed around efficiency and cost-effectiveness, often overlooking sensory needs. At Oliveti, we approach neurodivergent needs and mental health with great care and consideration, recognising the importance of sensory spaces in public and workplace sectors.
We also understand that creating dedicated sensory rooms can be disruptive, challenging, and expensive. In response to this challenge, we developed the CalmPod Sensory as a practical, cost-effective and flexible solution.
