Day to Day Reactive Maintenance Operative

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced planned and reactive maintenance operative to join our planned and reactive maintenance team undertaking planned and reactive repairs, replacements and improvements, for our clients.

As a maintenance operative you will be carrying out primarily joinery and carpentry works but there is an expectation you will be multi-skilled to provide an efficient, customer-focused service.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble bespoke joinery components using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment
• Install fixtures, fittings, and structures on-site in accordance with technical drawings and specifications
• Perform carpentry tasks including cutting, shaping, and fitting timber and other materials
• Having experience in other trades such as tiling, minor plumbing, plastering and other trades is desirable
• Ensure all work always complies with health and safety regulations
• Maintain a clean, organised workspace and ensure tools are properly stored after use
• Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to complete projects on time and within budget
• Being part of an Out of Hours Call Out rota covering emergency call outs

What You’ll Bring

• Strong communication skills and a professional attitude on site
• High attention to detail, with pride taken in the quality of finished work
• The ability to work independently, as well as part of a wider project team
• Proven Experience working as a site Joiner
• A valid UK driver’s licence
